The Faculty of Law of “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica has reached a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Kosovo Probation Service, with the aim of advancing institutional, academic, and professional cooperation in the fields of law, criminal justice, rehabilitation, and social affairs.

The memorandum was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi, and the General Director of the Kosovo Probation Service, Mr. Astrit Sh. Tahiri.

This memorandum aims to create new opportunities for the professional development of students through the organization of professional internships within the Kosovo Probation Service, as well as the implementation of joint academic and scientific activities.

As part of the cooperation, the parties will engage in organizing trainings, seminars, scientific conferences, and professional activities, as well as exchanging experiences in the field of criminal justice and the execution of alternative measures and sentences.

The memorandum also foresees the involvement of experts and officials from the Probation Service in academic activities and the support of research-scientific projects related to the rehabilitation, resocialization, and reintegration of persons subject to alternative measures or sentences.

This cooperation represents an important step in strengthening the connection between academic institutions and justice institutions, contributing to the promotion of modern rehabilitative policies and the professional development of students of the Faculty of Law.
