On June 10, 2025, the Research Council of the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica held its regular meeting, which focused on the official guidelines issued by the European Commission for the responsible use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scientific research.

During the meeting, the Council members discussed the relevance and importance of the guidelines for the academic and institutional context of UIBM. Following the discussion, the Council unanimously agreed to recommend their official adoption by the University Senate for internal use, pending review by the Legal Office regarding copyright compliance.

The Chair of the Research Council, Prof. Ass. Dr. Bahtir Hyseni, who also serves as Vice-Rector for Research, emphasized that this manual will serve as a clear guide and an added value to the academic and research work of both staff and students at our university.

This initiative reflects UIBM’s commitment to the ethical, secure, and advanced use of AI tools in research, aligned with European standards of scientific integrity.
