The University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica (UIBM), as part of its continued commitment to closer cooperation with the private sector, has appointed a new composition of its Advisory Board. In a joint meeting held on Wednesday at the Rectorate, the university management in cooperation with business representatives selected the new board members, who will be entrusted with the mission of strengthening the ties between the university and industry.

The Rector of UIBM, Prof. Dr. Nurten Deva, emphasized the strategic importance of this cooperation for institutional and economic development. “The Advisory Board serves as a vital bridge between the university and the industry. Through this partnership, we aim to create greater opportunities for our students, especially in terms of gaining access to professional internships and better preparation for the labor market,” she said.

Business representatives attending the meeting praised UIBM’s continuous dedication to aligning with the needs of the labor market and industry. They stressed that such collaboration is essential for developing new academic programs and for training a workforce suited to the demands of the local economy.

Following the selection of the new members, the board held its first constitutive meeting, during which the new leadership was elected: Mr. Fahredin Berisha as Chair, Mr. Agran Halimi as Deputy Chair, and Mr. Fahri Beqiri as Secretary of the Advisory Board.

According to the statute of the Advisory Board, its primary goal is to establish a permanent platform for cooperation between UIBM and the private sector, in order to enhance the mutual impact on the country’s socio-economic development.
