On May 27, 2025, a delegation from the Faculty of Mechanical and Computer Engineering (FMCE), led by the Dean of the Faculty, Ass. Prof. Dr. Faruk Ahmeti, and the Vice Dean for Teaching and Student Affairs, Ass. Prof. Dr. Fatmir Azemi, conducted an official visit to the enterprise “Trepça” Sh.a., as part of the preparations for drafting the Self-Evaluation Report (SER) of study programs.

The aim of this meeting was to deepen the cooperation between academia and industry, and to ensure direct input from industrial partners in the process of developing and improving the study programs at FMCE. During the meeting, discussions focused on opportunities for mutual integration and on the current needs of the enterprise regarding the profile of newly graduated professionals.

On this occasion, the opportunity was also used to further formalize the institutional cooperation through the continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the two parties. The agreement was signed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ass. Dr. Faruk Ahmeti, and the Chief Executive Officer of “Trepça” Sh.a., Mr. Faton Ahmeti.

The representatives of “Trepça” Sh.a. provided valuable comments and suggestions that will be taken into account during the ongoing review and development of curricula, in order to increase their alignment with labor market needs and to enhance the employability of our students.

This cooperation demonstrates FMCE’s commitment to building sustainable bridges between academia and industry, with the aim of ensuring quality and relevance in higher education.
