On December 30, 2024, a meeting with ALUMNI of the Faculty of Law was held, attended by former students of the faculty, ALUMNI representatives, as well as the management staff of the Faculty of Law. The meeting had a rich agenda and in-depth discussions on improving the curriculum and opportunities for advancing the faculty’s programs, focusing mainly on the need for broader practical preparation for students.

The Dean and Vice-Dean of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Qerimi and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arbnor Ajeti welcomed all participants and explained the importance of the meeting, which aimed to exchange opinions and suggestions on improving the academic program and strengthening ties between the faculty and ALUMNI.

Former students of the faculty, as well as ALUMNI representatives, shared their professional experiences, emphasizing the importance of ALUMNI activities in assisting and supporting new students at the Faculty. They expressed the benefits they had received from the academic program and its impact on their professional careers, highlighting the need for further connection of the faculty with the justice institutions of Kosovo.

A significant part of the discussions focused on the opportunities and challenges that alumni have faced before and after graduation. They called for increased practical hours, especially legal clinics, for the faculty’s core subjects, emphasizing that this would help students integrate more easily into the labor market.

The alumni suggested that greater efforts be made to provide more practical opportunities during their studies. They emphasized the importance of internships and close cooperation with legal institutions, enabling students to gain direct experience in the field of jurisprudence. They further positively assessed the successful implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation, which has brought opportunities for students to participate in the work of the courts to resolve various legal cases.

During this part, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss with ALUMNI and management staff the latest developments in the field of law, as well as the challenges and opportunities offered by the labor market.

Dean and Vice-Dean Qerimi concluded the meeting by emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong ties with ALUMNI and requesting that such meetings be organized as often as possible, to exchange ideas and advance the Faculty’s program. They committed to implementing the suggestions and ensuring that the Faculty continues to meet the demands and needs of students in harmony with the labor market.
