The Rector of the “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica (UIBM), Prof. Dr. Nurten Deva, met on Wednesday the former students of the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgy (FXM), Ismail Smakiqi and Mithat Prekazi. During the meeting, they discussed the joint organization of an event to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of FXM.

The former FXM students’ representatives explained that they had organized meetings for nine years . They also noted that these events are held in different cities across Kosovo, while this year the event is planned to take place at UIBM, considering that it also marks the 50th anniversary of FXM’s founding.

Rector Deva appreciated the organization of the former FXM students and expressed full support for the collaboration. “We are very grateful that this year you have chosen our university for your traditional event, as it also provides an opportunity for former students to see the new university campus in our city up close.”

According to tradition, the event will be held on the last Saturday of July, which this year falls on 27/07/2024 at UIBM. Additional details will be provided in due course.
