At the Faculty of Food Technology of the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica, under the mentorship of Professor Bahtir Hyseni, three students from Savonia University of Applied Sciences successfully completed and defended their professional traineeship.

The students stayed for approximately three weeks at UIBM-FTU, within the framework of a professional traineeship programme designed by Professor Bahtir Hyseni, in cooperation with IADK and Hirano Mushroom.

During this period, the students carried out their practical training in the laboratories of the Faculty of Food Technology, where they were engaged in the fermentation process of Kombucha tea as well as in its analysis using HPLC equipment, gaining practical knowledge in the field of fermentative processes and laboratory analysis of bioactive compounds.

At Hirano Mushroom, the students received professional training covering the entire mushroom production process, starting from substrate preparation, continuing through the cultivation phases, and concluding with the harvesting and packaging of the final product.

Meanwhile, with the coordination and support of IADK, the students conducted study visits to several cattle farms as well as vegetable cultivation farms, where they had the opportunity to become closely acquainted with agricultural and livestock production practices in Kosovo.
