On 30 June 2026, the Vice Rector of UIBM participated in the roundtable discussion titled “University Scholarship Program for Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian Students in Kosovo,” held in Prishtina.

The discussion focused on the university scholarship scheme, the need to establish a permanent budget line, the monitoring of scholarship beneficiaries, the improvement of statistical data collection, and the strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation to support access to higher education for members of these communities.

Participants emphasized the importance of ensuring the continuity of the scholarship scheme, increasing transparency in the selection process, and promoting successful Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian students as positive role models for younger generations.
