On September 9, 2025, at the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica (UIBM), the initial online meeting was held regarding the inclusion of the UIBM Library in the COBISS system. The meeting was attended by the library staff and its head, Mr. Alban Fazliu, who presented the needs and priorities for modernizing library services.

Also present at the meeting was the Vice-Rector for Research, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahtir Hyseni, who emphasized the importance of this system in achieving the university’s objectives, particularly in facilitating and improving services for students and academic staff.

On the other hand, the IZUM representative, Ms. Arjeta Sadiku, responsible for the implementation of COBISS, expressed commitment to providing continuous support and underlined the importance of the training sessions that the library staff will attend to ensure the activation and full functionality of the system at UIBM.

This step represents an important development for the university, as the inclusion in COBISS will enable the integration of the UIBM Library into the national and international network of libraries, thereby increasing access to scientific literature and facilitating the research process for both students and academic staff.
