On 12 March 2026, a meeting of the program holders of the Bachelor in Law (240 ECTS) study program was held at the Faculty of Law of the “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica.

The meeting was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of coordinating academic and institutional activities in support of the continuous development and improvement of the study program. On this occasion, he informed the participants that the study program, which was accredited in 2024, successfully completed the post-accreditation procedures in 2025 and is currently undergoing the monitoring process conducted by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency.

During the meeting, the Vice-Dean for International Relations and Quality, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arbnor Ajeti, informed the participants about the main developments related to the study program. He highlighted the importance of implementing quality assurance standards and fulfilling the recommendations arising from accreditation and monitoring processes.

The participants also discussed the implementation of recommendations provided by international experts and the measures undertaken by the Faculty of Law to further improve the study program. In this regard, particular emphasis was placed on updating course syllabi, aligning learning outcomes with course content, improving teaching and assessment methods, and strengthening international cooperation through academic activities with visiting professors.

An important part of the meeting was dedicated to the process of drafting the Self-Evaluation Report (SER) for the re-accreditation of the study program. The program holders agreed to actively contribute to this process by providing the necessary data and documentation within the scope of their academic responsibilities.

Furthermore, the importance of involving key stakeholders in the self-evaluation process was emphasized, including academic and administrative staff, students, representatives of legal institutions and the labor market, as well as the alumni network of the Faculty of Law.

The participants also discussed the periodic closure of quality assurance cycles carried out in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Office at the “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica, as well as the preparation and organization of documentation required for the monitoring process conducted by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency.

Special attention was given to the academic visit of Prof. Dr. Anja Schiemann from the Faculty of Law of the University of Cologne, who is conducting an academic stay at the Faculty of Law of UIBM from 2 to 17 March 2026. During her visit, she is contributing to joint lectures in criminal law courses in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi and will also organize an academic workshop entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education.”

Additionally, the Dean informed the participants about the successful continuation of the professional internship of law students at the Basic Court in Mitrovica and its branches in Vushtrri and Skenderaj, emphasizing the importance of practical training for the professional development of law students.

At the end of the meeting, the Dean thanked the participants for their contribution and stressed the importance of continued cooperation in further developing the study program and strengthening quality assurance at the Faculty of Law.

The next meeting of the program holders is scheduled to be held on 22 April 2026.
