On 12 May 2026, the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica and the Polytechnic University of Tirana signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening and advancing academic and scientific relations between the two institutions. Rector of the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica, Prof. Dr. Nurten Deva and Rector of the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Akli Fundo, signed the agreement.

At this ceremony, the Vice Rector for Academic Development and Quality, Prof. Dr. Sabri Avdullahi, and the Dean of the Faculty of Geosciences, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Festim Kutllovci, were present and emphasized the importance of this cooperation for the academic and scientific advancement of both institutions.

The agreement focuses on strengthening collaboration in teaching, scientific research, and the exchange of academic staff and students, while also supporting the development of joint academic and research initiatives. In addition, it provides opportunities for organizing conferences, seminars, and other scientific activities, as well as exchanging scientific publications, teaching materials, and academic expertise, with the aim of advancing knowledge, enhancing the quality of higher education, and further strengthening institutional cooperation.
