Within the framework of international cooperation and the Erasmus+ programme, on 13 May 2026, the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini” welcomed an academic delegation from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Rector of the University, Prof. Ass. Dr. Nurten Deva, together with Vice-Rector Prof. Assoc. Dr. Edita Bekteshi, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Sabri Avdullahi, and Prof. Dr. Fatos Rexhepi, received Prof. Dr. Andriana Surleva, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, as well as Prof. Dr. Nadezhda Kazakova and Prof. Dr. Georgi Chernev from the Faculty of Materials Science and Metallurgy.

During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening interuniversity cooperation, exchanging academic and scientific experiences, and exploring opportunities for the development of joint projects in the field of higher education and scientific research.

The visit of the academic delegation from Bulgaria is expected to contribute to the advancement of international partnerships and the expansion of academic cooperation between the two institutions within the Erasmus+ programme.
